Functional Overview:

In an effort to better serve our customers, the Account Representative (AR) is a remote inside sales position responsible for all sales activities, from prospecting to close, in the assigned territory. A qualified AR will work efficiently out of their home office to achieve desired quarterly and annual gross profit quotas. The AR will focus on generating additional sales opportunities through cross-selling, up-selling and prospecting both new and existing clients. The AR will be responsible for customer retention through customer service, relationship building and growing existing accounts with new products. 


The base salary is set at $45,000-$50,000 based on prior experience. Additionally, ARs are eligible to receive variable earnings in commissions and bonuses.

Major Job Responsibilities, Functions, and Duties:

Responsible for sales activities in the assigned territory to achieve desired quarterly and annual quotas, include but not limited to:

  • Promote new Typenex solutions to prospects and existing customer base
  • Send out samples of new and existing products to leads, potential customers and current customers
  • Work with distributor partners to facilitate preferred order fulfillment
  • Focus on Cross-Selling and prospecting Typenex Solutions to new and existing customers
  • Assist with customer service such as returns, order issues or product complaints as needed

Demonstrates command of technical, product knowledge that allows for the presentation of product to customers over the phone.

Responsible for negotiating pricing with prospective customers and re-negotiating terms with current customers as needed.

Understands and manages Oracle database and CRM on a daily basis to follow up with activities, customers, prospects and customer orders.

Utilizes, qualifies, and prioritize leads generated via marketing efforts, such as email campaigns, and develops qualified leads through cold-calling. 

Team player who will assist sales team and refer opportunities in respective territories.

Responsible for meeting required activity metrics

  • Meet all daily, weekly and monthly activity and sales goals
  • Strong focus on phone activity and call time

Works closely with Typenex personnel as needed to expedite sales cycle

Leverage existing contractual agreements (GPO, Pricing agreements, commitment agreements etc.) to expand Typenex business within a customer portfolio.

General Job Requirements:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 6 months to 1 year of professional work experience demonstrating success in telesales; healthcare experience preferred but not required
  • Proven work ethic and ability to work independently and successfully with minimal direction
  • Proven communication skills a must, including writing, listening and mastering scripted presentation content, including objection responses.
  • Passionate, self-motivated, competitive, resourceful, ambitious, and intelligent
  • Experience with CRM software preferred but not required


Physical Job Requirements:

  • Able to remain in a stationary position, either sitting or standing, for a prolonged periods of time
  • Able to move about the home office to access common equipment such as filing cabinets, copier, printer, etc.
  • Able to move and lift objects up to 25 pounds
  • Able to travel domestically and/or internationally


Remote Office Requirements:

  • Able to work from home office, in a dedicated work area without interruption or excessive noise
  • Provide adequate workspace (desk & chair) to accommodate company provided laptop computer, 2 monitors and related equipment
  • Provide adequate internet service to access business software and telephone equipment necessary to perform job duties
