and campus build-to-suit projects.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be able to handle multiple ongoing responsibilities within a fast‐paced and adaptive environment. The senior corporate accountant will handle the following responsibilities:
- Prepare and deliver monthly financial reporting packages for assigned entities.
- Maintain, review, and analyze all general ledger accounts.
- Perform overall income statement and balance sheet analysis.
- Assist senior accounting management with tax return review and compliance processes.
- Oversee the accounting and operations for multiple private investment vehicles.
- Assist with accounting and operations of private equity real estate funds.
- Support senior manager in all investment fund accounting.
- Analyze processes for improvement. Recommend and implement process changes where appropriate.
- Prepare analyses to support annual financial statement audits and the preparation of tax returns.
- Participate in special projects and prepare ad hoc reports as needed.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates must possess the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting from a highly regarded undergraduate institution
- Certified Public Accountant designation
- 2+ years of experience in the tax or audit group of a large public accounting firm
- Exposure to and familiarity with commercial real estate a plus
- Strong familiarity with pass‐through accounting and tax matters
- Proficient with MS Office software and experience with Yardi a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate information succinctly and anticipate and resolve issues/problems on a proactive basis.
- Ability to prioritize well and “manage up” to multiple managers.
- Detail‐oriented, yet flexible, while operating in a dynamic environment with a focus on meeting deadlines.
- Excellent collaborative skills to work in partnership with colleagues and across various departments.
- High energy level, willing to take on new tasks and drive them to completion while working independently.
- Strong work ethic with the highest degree of honesty, integrity, and discretion.
