Business-fluency in English + Excellent negotiation and analytical skills + Knowledge of purchasing processes and systems + Good at MS Excel and Power point. Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers. Experience in collecting and analyzing data.
Main Task Description
(Include key result areas of the position)
1.Supplier Landscape: Continuously screen the domestic and International market for the commodity and prepare comprehensive supplier landscape and strategy for the commodity. Discover profitable suppliers and initiate business partnerships.
2. Management Executing RFQ: RFQ preparation and processing with shortlisted vendors. Obtaining competitive offers and evaluating the offers various techno commercial parameters. Leading the supplier evaluation process for selection of suppliers. Collaborate with stake holders to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company.
3. Negotiation with suppliers Finalizing the negotiation strategy and negotiation design. Negotiate with the suppliers and achieve the target cost. Selecting the supplier based on comprehensive evaluation of the offers in terms of best in class price, delivery and quality. Knowledge on applicable indirect taxes in India is must.
4. Purchase Orders Generating sourcing recommendations and creation of Purchase Orders and contracts. Negotiating with the suppliers for agreement on legal and commercial terms and conditions. Job also involved creation and finalization of maters service agreement and procurement agreements with the suppliers.
5. Administration Follow the purchasing system and procedures of Procurement according to the company activities and market. Monitor and control all purchasing activities and procedures of MBRDI. Suggest on the improvement in MBRDI Purchasing system; Monitoring and checking payment and material requirement planning. Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
6. Internal Auditing: Auditing of Purchase Process, as per ICS
7. Synergy with other Daimler units in India and Global IPS departments
8 Sourcing Strategy:
Analyzing and calculating costs of procurement and suggest methods to decrease expenditure. Generating and implementing efficient sourcing and category management strategies. Expect unfavorable events through analysis of data and prepare control strategies. Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements. Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs
