We have partnered with an A & E Consulting Firm in the Cincinnati, OH area to provide them with a Senior Mechanical Engineer.
Responsibilities of the Senior Mechanical Engineer:
- Develops project execution plans for the mechanical discipline to achieve project scope, schedule, and budget.
- Develops construction cost comparison and complies with the level of estimate and items to be included per client, project manager specifications, or contract specifications.
- Coordinates or performs field investigations following company guidelines.
- Develops preliminary conceptual design consistent with project criteria: HVAC equipment and controls, industrial ventilation system, and fire protection schemes.
- Selects system types, generate preliminary flow and control diagrams, and select motor equipment types, and prepare MEDL.
- Monitors detailed design and check for code compliance, constructability, and adherence to Client objectives.
- Conducts or coordinates the quality reviews of final design drawings and specifications.
- Assists in training and mentoring project team members to achieve their growth and development plans.
- Efficiently utilizes design software whenever possible, provide detailed design, or supervise the design of the following items: HVAC, Piping, Ventilation, and Fire Protection systems
Requirements of the Senior Mechanical Engineer:
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- PE License REQUIRED
- 15+ years experience in designing mechanical systems for industrial, commercial buildings, mission-critical, life science, and other projects
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Trane, Fathom, and/or Arrow design software
- Great communication skills
- Ability and experience with mentoring junior level engineers
